After School Club Fees

The After School Club offers licensed out-of-school care to children in Kindergarten through Grade 6 on weekday afternoons when Bowen Island Community School is in session.

The program is headquartered in the Bowen Island Community School Community Use Room, next to the gym.

The After School Club is open from 2:40 pm (school’s dismissal) until 6 pm.  On days when school is dismissed early – for instance, in the event of parent-teacher meetings – the After School Club will open early, at no extra charge. The program does not operate on full-day professional development days.

Registration fee (annual):  $15.00 (non-refundable), payable upon completion of registration forms

Program fee:  $15.00 per day, payable monthly, for regular bookings and
$16 per day for drop-in bookings

The After School Club accepts payment by cheque or money order. The program will not accept cash. Payment may be given to the Program Coordinator or mailed to BCC, at RR#1 AL-3, Bowen Island.

Bookings

There are two booking arrangements available:

Regular/ongoing

  • Under the terms of this arrangement, space is booked on an ongoing basis, one or more days each week. 
  • Your child’s place is assured. However, if your child is unable to attend on a regularly booked day, you will be billed for that day.
  • Regular/ongoing bookings receive a discount.

Drop-in

  • Drop-in spaces are subject to availability. 
  • Drop-in space may be booked no more than one week in advance.

Invoices are delivered or mailed at the beginning of each month for services rendered the previous month. Fees are due, in full, within 7 (seven) days of receipt of the invoice.

One month’s notice is required in the event of a withdrawal or reduction in the number of days booked.

The After School Club issues receipts for tax purposes each February.
