After School Club Registration & Enrolment

For the 2011-12 school year, the After School Club is licensed for 20 children and our home base is the Community Use Room at Bowen Island Community School. We offer a variety of art and sports activities on a daily basis as well as a generous snack and lots of personal attention for children who have spent long school days learning. The emphasis at the After School Club is on fun!

Registration for September 2011

Children who turn five years old by December 31, 2011, are eligible for enrolment in the After School Club beginning in September 2011. Registration times differ for returning and new families:

  • Returning Families:
    Early Registration begins at: 2:30 pm, Monday, May 30, 2011

    Returning families are those whose children are enrolled in The After School Club on a regular basis as of March 31, 2011, and whose account is in good standing. Returning families have one week to register their children, including eligible siblings, before registration is opened to new families as well.

  • New Families:
    Registration begins at: 2:30 pm, Monday, June 6, 2011

Registrations are received on a first come, first served basis, with the date and time of receipt recorded on each registration form. Returning families who register after Early Registration has closed will register on the same footing as new families. Please note that the ASC reserves the right to accept children into the program in such a way as to balance a group's gender composition and compatibility, regardless of the order in which applications have been received.

Registration forms must be given directly to The ASC Coordinator. Adults may register one other child in addition to their own. Once a day's spaces are filled, names will be taken on a waitlist. This waitlist is only for spaces that may become available during the coming year.

While the main registration period is in the spring, applications are accepted over the course of the year and children may be taken into the program as space becomes available.

Registration Deposit

Registration must be accompanied by a deposit of one half of the anticipated cost of your September fees. For example, if you're registering for three days per week, your deposit will be equal to six days' fees. This deposit is non-refundable, but will be applied against your last month's fees once you give notice.

Payment may be made by cheque or money order; cash will not be accepted.
