This Society strives to maintain its high standards and cover its operating expenses in an environment of persistently rising costs. We are also acutely aware of our mandate of serving this community and the importance of keeping our fees affordable for the young families that rely on our services. Therein lies the challenge: Not only must we meet the needs of this island’s children and their parents – we must do so without compromising the quality of the programs we offer or undermining this Centre’s sustainability.

Donations
This Centre is a registered charitable organization, and gratefully accepts cash and in-kind donations. The Centre issues tax receipts for donations of $20 or more, and may issue receipts for certain in-kind donations as well.
United Way
You may direct a United Way donation to the charity of your choice, simply by naming the organization and listing its charitable registration number.

Bowen Children’s Centre is committed to providing excellent early childhood programs for children, but the present economic environment is challenging. Some of the government funding on which we have relied in the past has been eliminated or drastically reduced, and distribution of the remainder is uncertain. Many foundations have stopped granting entirely for the time being. Meanwhile, although we’re fiscally careful, operating costs rise persistently.
Your online shopping experience won’t be affected at all — you won’t pay a penny more for your purchases. The online retailer will pay us the referral fee directly.
